A Mixed-Integer Quadratically Constrained Programming Model for Network Reconfiguration in Power Distribution Systems with Distributed Generation and Shunt Capacitors

This paper proposes a formulation based on mixed-integer quadratically constrained programming (MIQCP) for the problem of optimally determining network topology aiming at minimum power loss in electrical distribution grids considering distributed generation and shunt capacitors. The proposed optimization model is derived from originally nonlinear by leveraging modified flow method that linear. can be effectively solved standard commercial solvers such as CPLEX. Then, MIQCP-based verified an IEEE 33-bus 190-bus real Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province, Vietnam, 2021. effects load demand level optimal solutions are analyzed detail. Furthermore, results analysis achieved approach compared to those solving equations using summation gives exact solutions.
